Bonus Terms Explained
Casino bonus jargon can be confusing, especially if you're new to online gambling. Here's a plain-English breakdown of the most common terms you'll encounter when claiming promotions at okji and other online casinos in the Philippines.
Understanding these terms before you claim a bonus can save you a lot of frustration. Many players in Manila and Cebu have forfeited bonus winnings simply because they didn't read the fine print.

Wagering Requirement / Rollover
This tells you how many times you need to bet your bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it. It's often written as a multiplier like 10x, 15x, or 20x.
A higher multiplier means it's harder to cash out. Always compare wagering requirements across promotions before claiming.
Example: You receive a ₱1,000 bonus with a 20x wagering requirement. You need to wager a total of ₱20,000 in bets before any bonus-derived winnings become withdrawable.
Maximum Bet During Bonus
Most casinos cap the amount you can bet per round while a bonus is active. Exceeding this limit — even accidentally — can result in your bonus and any associated winnings being voided.
The typical cap at Philippine online casinos is between ₱250 and ₱500 per bet or spin.
Example: okji's welcome bonus has a ₱250 maximum bet rule. If you spin a slot at ₱500 per spin while the bonus is active, your bonus balance can be forfeited.
Game Contribution
Not all games contribute equally toward clearing your wagering requirement. Slots usually count 100%, while table games like baccarat and roulette often count only 10% to 20%.
Example: You wager ₱1,000 on Live Baccarat. With a 10% contribution rate, only ₱100 counts toward your wagering requirement — so it would take 10x as long to clear the bonus compared to slots.
Bonus Expiry
Every bonus has an expiry window. If you don't meet the wagering requirement within that window, the bonus and all associated winnings are typically cancelled automatically.
Example: A 14-day welcome bonus credited on June 1 expires on June 15. If you haven't completed the 20x wagering by that date, any remaining bonus balance is removed from your account.
Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus stays in your account as "bonus funds" and cannot be withdrawn directly — only the winnings generated from it can be cashed out. A non-sticky bonus is credited as real money that you can withdraw (after meeting wagering requirements).
Example: You receive a ₱1,000 sticky bonus and turn it into ₱4,000 in total balance. On a sticky bonus, you can only withdraw the ₱3,000 profit — the original ₱1,000 bonus is automatically removed at withdrawal.
Maximum Cash-Out
Some bonuses cap the total amount you can withdraw from winnings generated using that bonus. Even if you win big, you can only withdraw up to the stated maximum cash-out limit.
Example: okji's welcome bonus has a ₱25,000 maximum cash-out. If your bonus play generates ₱50,000 in winnings, you can only withdraw ₱25,000 of that.
